FAQ's

I want to do the “Two Fjords Discovery” tour but it is only scheduled on Saturdays. Is it possible to do the tour on another day?
Yes, that is possible.  However, we need a minimum of 4 guests for that trip, but in most cases we are able to find participants and do the tour on request.  That requires, though, that we have guides available, and therefore departure can be either earlier or later than the schedule implies.

Do I have to be in a good physical shape to do the climb up to mt. Kaldbakur?
If you are in doubt we recommend you to do a little rehearsal trip to a nearby mountain to check out the fitness.  The hike up to mt. Kaldbakur is not too difficult and children on various ages have made it up there!

Will I get wet during the kayak trips?
In most cases our guests do not get wet, except maybe a little moisture on the bum! We have good equipment and everyone gets pants and a spray jacket for use during the tour.  For full day tours we recommend that guests bring extra pants and sweater.

I’ve never been on a kayak, but I’d like to try. Aren’t they very unstable?
Kayaks are of different sizes and shapes. Some are fast and rocking, others are slower but very stable. We have few types of kayaks of different lengths and thicknesses.  Therefore it is always possible to find boats suitable for each and individual person. Our widest boats are very stable and until now nobody has managed to flip them over!
