Ísafjörður is the mecca for day trips in the Westfjords of Iceland. Our small and picturesque town nestled in the rugged nature offers unique opportunities for all sorts of outdoor pursuits.
With the domestic airport only a few minutes away from our office, you can fly in and out on the same day and still manage to have an exciting adventure!
Our day trips vary in length, some are 3 hours and others can be up to 9
hours. Each trip varies in difficulty, but there is something to suit
every ones interest and capabilities.
Even though you can manage to arrive and leave in the say day while doing a trip, we'd prefer if you would stay longer to enjoy more than one trip and all that Ísafjörður has to offer.
Ísafjörður has a diverse selection
of local handcrafts, uniquely colorful restored houses, and a Maritime
Museum found in the oldest development in Iceland. Take a walk into the
fjord to explore the pristine waterfall and the beautifully petite
forest. Enjoy a day on the local golf course or take a bike/walk on the
new paved trail to the next town. Ísafjörður
is also home to some of the best seafood in Iceland and the local fish
restaurant serves only the fresh catch of the day.
