North Explorers is a fully licensed guiding company that is part of the Borea Adventures family. We are based in the capital of the Westfjords--Isafjordur, Iceland.

The founders of Borea Adventures and North Explorers have always recognized the full potential of adventure tourism surrounding their home, yet little was being done to encourage it.

Borea Adventures was created in 2006 and focuses its business on giving exclusive expeditions to voyagers from all over the world. However, they realized not everyone was cut out for their extensive trips and wished to expand and offer exciting day trips as well.

The forefathers knew it was time for them to share with others the abundance of outdoor activities that the Westfjords possesses. Thus, in 2010 North Explorers was born and has been growing ever since.

The company is operated by sailors, climbers, skiers, and sea kayakers that find their inspiration in the unique wilderness that surrounds them.

All our guides are local Icelanders that have designed each trip to operate in harmony with the environment that supports their business.
